Warranty Terms
Thank you for choosing WiserFisher. This page explains what is covered under warranty, what is not covered, and how to request support.
The WiserFisher device is designed for outdoor fishing use and is rated IPX4 (splash resistant). It is not designed for submersion.
1. Warranty Period
WiserFisher is covered by a 2-year statutory warranty starting from the date of purchase, in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
Proof of purchase (invoice/receipt) may be required.
2. What’s Covered
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal, intended use. Examples include:
- Manufacturing defects that prevent normal operation.
- Electrical/electronic failures not caused by misuse, impact, liquid ingress, or unauthorized modification.
- Charging port issues when used correctly (dry, clean, no excessive force, compatible charger/cable).
3. What’s Not Covered (Exclusions)
The warranty does not cover damage, failures, or performance issues caused by external factors or user actions, including but not limited to:
- Opening/disassembling the device, tamper marks, unauthorized repairs, or modification of electronics/firmware.
- Physical damage from drops, crushing force, impact, bending, deformation, or overtightening.
- Liquid ingress from submersion, high-pressure water, or improper drying after heavy exposure to rain/splash.
- Using the product while wet in ways that allow water to enter openings/ports (e.g., charging while wet).
- Exposure to chemicals/sprays (solvents, lubricants, cleaners, contact sprays, oils, insect repellent, sunscreen, etc.).
- Saltwater/sand/mud damage, corrosion, or buildup due to insufficient cleaning and drying after use.
- Damage caused by improper charging equipment (incompatible adapters/cables) or excessive connector strain (pulling, twisting, side-loading).
- Cosmetic wear: scratches, scuffs, discoloration, and normal aging that does not affect function.
- Issues caused by third-party devices (phone/OS/Bluetooth environment), interference, or app compatibility outside supported requirements.
4. Water Exposure and IPX4 (Splash Resistance)
IPX4 means the device is resistant to splashes from any direction. It is not waterproof for submersion.
To help prevent moisture-related damage:
- Do not immerse the device in water and do not expose it to pressurized water jets.
- After rain/splash, wipe with a soft cloth and allow to dry fully in a ventilated area.
- Never charge the device while the charging port is wet or contaminated.
- If exposed to saltwater spray, wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth (fresh water), then dry thoroughly.
5. Care, Handling & Storage
- Avoid leaving the device in extreme heat (e.g., inside a car under direct sun) or extreme cold for long periods.
- Avoid sudden temperature changes that can cause condensation inside the device.
- Keep connectors clean; do not insert metal objects; do not use chemical cleaners on the casing.
- Do not carry/store the device wet inside sealed bags for extended time.
